For a straightforward whiskey based mixed drink, why not attempt this Haunted Graveyard Halloween mixed drink. It is ideal for a fall or halloween party as it joins, whiskey and maple for a warm you up drink. In addition the unpleasant smoking rosemary includes a touch of creepy amusing to your beverage. Everybody cherishes a touch of theater and this maple, whiskey and orange mixed drink makes certain to intrigue.

Another Friday and another halloween mixed drink, in light of the fact that a) halloween is coming and b) I love mixed drinks. This one is an attendant, well the entirety of my plans are so that is only a moronic thing to compose! I'll rethink:

This mixed drink is a fall mixed drink victor. It is somewhat warming, delightfully mind boggling and the additional auditorium from the smoking rosemary makes it ideal for halloween.

Haunted Graveyard – A Halloween Cocktail #drinks #partydrink

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 4 orange slices
  • 4-6 splashes bitters - see note 1
  • 1 sprig rosemary
  • 1 cup ice

To serve

  • large ice cubes
  • 2 sprigs rosemary - see note 2

Instructions

  1. Pour the bourbon and maple syrup into a cocktail shaker. Add the ice, orange slices and sprig of rosemary.
  2. Shake well for at least 30 seconds.

To serve

  1. Add the ice to a short whisky glass and strain over the prepared cocktail.
  2. Garnish with a fresh stem of rosemary and use a kitchen blow torch or long match to set it on fire. (see note 2)

Notes

To enhance the maple and bourbon pick a bitters from this list.

  • orange bitters
  • grapefruit bitters
  • rosemary bitters
  • smoke bitters
  • or experiment with some new combinations.

If the smoking rosemary isn't your thing, you can either garnish the cocktail with an orange slice or curl of zest. Or use the rosemary but don't set it on fire.

  • The fresher your rosemary the less likely it is to just set on fire and the more likely it is to just smoke.
